You'll Return to Your Tomboy Days

Nike Dunk Sky Hi

I snatched these up while on a girls' getaway in Westchester County. When I find things that I love in my size, there is no question that I am running up to that register and swiping my credit card.

All white mesh, patent leather swoosh with a gum sole bottom made me want to unwrap a piece of Bubblicious Watermelon bubblegum and chill on the sidewalk with a basketball in between my legs. Somethings are meant to be left in the past, but a fresh pair of all-white kicks will always a space in my walk-in closet. Too dope.

  1. Just wanted to let you know I love your writing. You've got such a great way with words.

I envy your job. To give back is what I always wanted to do, but I ended up working on Wall Street, helping the rich get richer. It wasn't particularly satisfying, but it was where the money was at, and where the recognition was...

But it drove me crazy, literally.

I am not 100% sure what you do, but I know that you work with kids, and that the work you do is meaningful.

I mean, it is okay to hate your job sometimes... but know that you are truly making a difference in young person's life.

That is one of the greatest things someone can do.

    I admire that!

  2. @Literal Gemini Thanks for the comment! I absolutely love the work I do and always feel like the young people I work with give and teach me so much more that I could ever expect. I think we're all in a position to make a positive impact on our communities. Maybe think about being a mentor to some young people or even going into a classroom to talk about the work you do. We need people like you who work on Wall Street who will be advocates and/or an inspiration to the young people who want to be doing the same thing one day. No need to quit your job to do meaningful work.
